Pediatric Hospitalist

The CHOC Specialists is seeking a full time Pediatric Hospitalist to join our well-established team. Candidates must be eligible for a CA Medical License and be board certified/board eligible in Pediatrics. Completion of a fellowship in pediatric hospital medicine or post-residency experience in inpatient pediatric care is preferred, but not required. We are seeking independent physicians who enjoy a career in pediatric hospital medicine, resident teaching and have the desire to contribute to enhancing the quality of care for children in a community hospital setting. Hospitalist will provide day and night coverage, both with residents and on our attending only teams.


Responsibilities include providing quality care to pediatric medical and surgical patients from birth to young adulthood. Our service is the primary inpatient pediatric teaching rotation for the UCI-CHOC residency program comprised of 83 pediatric residents and the Kaiser OC family practice residency. We are also a primary teaching location for the University of California, Irvine and Dartmouth Medical schools. We are a constantly growing program within a large, well established group of 26 Hospitalists covering 3 locations. Opportunities in quality improvement, community outreach, resident education and administrative activities are available and encouraged.
