We are
seeking a Locums Pediatric Hospitalist to provide temporary coverage at our
esteemed healthcare facility in New Hampshire. As a Locums Pediatric
Hospitalist, you will play a vital role in providing specialized pediatric care
to hospitalized patients. Your expertise and dedication will ensure the highest
quality of medical care for children and contribute to their overall well-being
during their hospital stay. This position offers a flexible schedule and the
opportunity to work with a collaborative team of healthcare
professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients admitted to the hospital, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations, review medical history, perform physical examinations, and order appropriate diagnostic tests.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, including prescribing medications, ordering consultations, and coordinating follow-up care.
- Monitor patients' progress, make adjustments to treatment plans as necessary, and communicate updates to the appropriate healthcare providers.
- Respond to emergencies and provide immediate medical intervention when required.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
- Participate in daily rounds, case discussions, and care coordination meetings.
- Consult with specialists and other physicians as needed to optimize patient management and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, their families, and caregivers, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognosis.
- Address questions, concerns, and provide emotional support to patients and their families.
- Offer education and guidance on pediatric health, disease prevention, and post-hospital care instructions.
Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) and board certification in Pediatrics.
- Active medical license in the state of New Hampshire or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Proven experience as a Pediatric Hospitalist, including clinical training and residency in pediatrics.
- Strong clinical skills in managing acute and chronic pediatric conditions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team and communicate with patients and their families.
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced hospital environment and handle emergent situations.
- Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Availability for locum tenens coverage for the desired duration.
