Your Role With Us:

Salem Health is seeking experienced, per-diem/unscheduled Adult Hospitalist Nurse Practitioners to collaborate with our Adult Hospitalist team in providing comprehensive clinical management to patients at Salem Health. Our APPs also provide rounding coverage at West Valley Hospital, up to 50% of the time.

Position Details:

  • Day and Night shifts available
  • 12 hour shifts
  • No Codes, Closed ICU, No ventilator management
  • No procedure responsibilities
  • 24/7 Full subspecialty and ICU coverage
  • Excellent rapid response team available for patient evaluation
  • Collaborative ER providers
  • Great EPIC and template system making documentation easy

Background/Expertise:

  • Possess a master’s degree or higher in Nursing, or in a field deemed to be equivalent by the Oregon Board of Nursing.
  • Have satisfactorily completed a Nurse Practitioner Program recognized by the Oregon Board of Nursing.
  • Hold a current, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Oregon.
  • Hold a current, unencumbered Certificate as a Nurse Practitioner through the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
  • Hold valid, unencumbered NP national certification issued by a nationally accrediting body.
  • Hold DEA certification.
  • Have at least 12-months relevant NP experience in a hospital setting, within the expanded specialty area within the past three (3) years.
  • If the Nurse Practitioner does not have the relevant hospital experience and cannot otherwise document current competency, a monitoring plan may be required.
  • Hold current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
