ECU Health Physicians and ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital, located in Tarboro, NC, are seeking a BE/BC Internal Medicine-Pediatrics or Internal Medicine physician to join their Hospitalist program. New graduates and Visa candidates are encouraged to apply.

  • Growing 9-hosptial healthcare system
  • Hospital privileges at ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital
  • Clinical responsibilities will include: Level II nursery and well newborn nursery (for Med-Peds trained physicians), daily rounding, admissions, discharges, vent management and intubation, central line placement and thoracentesis
  • 7 on 7 off Schedule -7a-7p with 2/ 7p-7a shifts every other week
  • ICU is covered by pulmonary critical care physicians from 8-5pm, and covered by hospitalist team nights and weekends
  • Established team of 6 hospitalist
  • Anticipated Volume is 15-20 patients
  • Strong air and ground support to immediately transfer patients to ECU Health Medical Center, a level 1 trauma center located in Greenville, NC
  • System-wide integrated EMR—EPIC
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Close proximity to and ability to live in nearby Greenville, NC
