"Kearney is where Nebraska's heart is located. In Kearney it's one's own personal choice of where your favorite place to eat or coffee shop is, because the city has a great variety of taste and abundance of selections for dining to choose from. Kearney is rich in history, flavor, and recreation. In Kearney I suggest you make a weekend out of it, because there's so many cool things for everyone to see and do. Go to the Great Platte River Road Archway Monument, head to Downtown Bricks and check out all the sites there and places to shop, go hiking or bike trailing, fishing, camping, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, etc. There's not a single park in town that doesn't have something for you to do. As a local I also suggest you to enjoy the Kearney nightlife, there's many breweries, cafe's, bars, and restaurants to do that. Check out Viaero Event Center where the Tri-City Storm Hockey Team plays and enjoy many other events like Disney on Ice, Concerts, and Comedy Shows. Life here is great."

"Kearney is the perfect city in Nebraska if you want that small city\town life with a lot of outdoor activities. There's alot about Kearney that make it a great place to live in. It is the Sandhill Crane Capital of the world, every spring over half a million cranes gather on the River and it's a fun view. There's a nice paved bike trail with over 30 miles. You can Kayak or Canoe at Kearney Water Trail, (if you don't have one they have one for you to rent). Cottonmill Park is nice, it's a 50 acre lake where you can fish, canoe, kayak, have a picnic, swim. There's Yanney Park, Fort Kearney State Recreational Area, Museums, Downtown Kearney On The Bricks, Big Apple Fun Center, tons of high quality delicious restaurants, lots of yearly annual events. All those things I stated are just a few reasons that make Kearney a great place. If you're interested or the time comes where you get the chance to live\stay in Kearney, go for it."

"Kearney is a great place for both singles, couples, and families. The community is very friendly and accepting of all types of different backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs. The economy is strong, and jobs are plentiful. I love coming to town to shop, eat out, or go somewhere with my family for entertainment. They've got things going on to do or see all the time, all four seasons out of the year. The University (UNK) is a big help around here with the growth and development of the city. It's a very nice place."

"Kearney isn't for everyone, but it is a lovely place to live. The city isn't too big nor too at about 40,000 people and counting. The city is home to the University of Kearney and houses many diverse students internationally. I would love to see the city grow more and bring some common big city commodities in. A lot of thing in town are due for an upgrade and thanks the the kind and charitable people living here we get things done."
