Combination of rounding and admitting/discharging
Closed ICU and no procedures required
Codes typically not required but if hospitalist's patient, nocturnist is expected to attend/follow up
Work 3 shifts a week - first week is M-W., 2nd week is Fri-Sun then 3rd week, full week off and repeat
Average of 24 hours a week
