The Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine at Jefferson Einstein Philadelphia is recruiting a Perinatal Newborn Hospitalist (open faculty rank) to join its dynamic and diverse Pediatric department. The position offers a unique opportunity for Pediatric clinical care with resident and medical student education in the Perinatal newborn unit. Inpatient newborn care will be at Jefferson Einstein Medical Center in the perinatal newborn unit. Medical education of residents and students is prioritized at both patient care settings. Schedule for this position will be 7 days on, 7 days off, and the shifts will be 8am-5pm. No delivery attendance or overnight shifts are required. Ideal candidates will display a passion for teaching residents and medical students and an interest in contributing to the department's scholarly activity through research, curriculum development and quality improvement. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment with the Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University.

Requirements:

  • MD/DO or foreign equivalent
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
  • Active PA license or eligible to obtain by time of appointment
  • Previous inpatient experience is preferred
