A hospital located in Northeastern North Dakota is in search of multiple Hospitalist Physicians to provide locum coverage for 2 week blocks, ongoing. This opening will offer highly competitive pay.
There are locum needs year-round and providers with either intermittent or consistent availability are welcome to apply!

Expenses Covered: Travel, Lodging, Malpractice Insurance.

Details:
  • Ideally seeking long term providers to cover 2 week blocks, ongoing.
  • 12 hour shift (7a-7p) onsite and 12 hours of unrestricted night call 7p-7a.
  • Locum coverage needed year-round
  • Will consider multiple providers to fill open dates.
  • Facility hotel style housing onsite (with WiFi, Cable/TV, and Private Bathrooms)
  • Patients per day (average): 6
  • Admissions and discharges: 2-3
  • # of beds: 19
  • Required procedures: Vents, lines, tubes, swing beds, Cardiac Rehab oversight, and Outpatient infusion (abx, blood, etc) and wound care oversight.
  • EMR: Meditech
Additional Details/Questions Answered:
  • What is sub specialty backup if avail? Phone Consult backup, tertiary care hospitals located 2-3 hours away. Intensivist, GS, Cardiology, Ortho, Neuro - available for phone consult. Locally, there is 24/7 Anesthesia on call. The ER is staffed 24/7 with an onsite provider (physician or APP) and we have 24/7/365 telemedicine ER to Avera Sioux Falls
  • Clarification on would care oversight: There are visiting general surgeons on staff. These surgeons rotate out 1-2x per month for elective surgery. The hospital does not have 24/7 GS coverage.
Requirements:
  • Board Certified Internal Medicine (will consider BC in Family Medicine if needed)
  • Active ND License or IMLC in hand
  • Active ACLS, BLS, DEA
  • Clean malpractice/background
  • Covid Vaccinated
