Locum Hospitalist Opportunity in New Castle, PA - $220/hr - No Procedures

New locum hospitalist opportunity in New Castle, PA where on going day coverage is needed. Here are some of the details:

Start Date: July 16, 2023 (Or as soon as credentialed)

Coverage Needs Details:

• Client needs 12-15 shifts per month
• Regular scheduled shifts, no call
• 7 on 7 off schedule (May be some flexibility)
• Monday - Sunday (7am - 7pm)

Candidate Requirements

• Active PA license
• DEA Required
• Must be board certified
• Required Certifications: ACLS, CPR, BLS
• Minimum 2 year experience

Job Details

• Typical Day: Rounding in the AM with APP and additional admissions and consults happening in the afternoon
• Open ICU concept but critical care physician is in house 7am - 7pm. Hospitalists are required to co-manage with critical care physicians.
• Hospitalists are required to respond to all codes and rapid responses (Site manages 99% of all medical patients at hospital)
• No procedures required
• ADC of 80-100 per day
• Average in-patient per day: 20-25
• Average admissions per day: 3-5
• Average consults per day: 2-3
• Average 10-15 per day split among rounding teams
• Provider will not work solo
• APP coverage available
• Other Specialties On-site: Gen Surgery, Cardiology, Orthopedics, Tele-Nuero
• EMR: Cerner
• Time to Credential: 1-2 months, can be sooner if needed
• Reason for opening: Team Growth

Compensation for this opportunity is highly competitive at $220/hr.
