End date: potential 6 - 12mnth assignment
Coverage type: No Call
Schedule: M-Sun |7a-7p |
*Full-time hospitalist physician to work 7 on 7 off schedule at a small community hospital.
JOB INFORMATION
*Patient mix 100% Adult | 90% Medical | 10% Surgical
*Typical Day: 7 on 7 off daylight schedule manages rounding on patients with one other physician and an advanced practice provider. Physician works from 7a-7p. Provider is expected to cover rapids, manage codes on their patients, and it is an open ICU in which the physician will cross-manage with the pulmonary team that is there during the day.
*Provider will not work solo
*Other Specialties onsite: General Surgery, Critical Care (7a-7p), Tele-Nephrology, Pulmonologist in House 7a-7p to help cover ICU, Cath Lab and GI
*Typical cases: Medical Management of COPD, CHF, etc anything highly acute is transferred
*Time to Credential: 2-3 Months
*Avg. Census Per Day: Inpatient 35 (Split between 2 doctors + 1 APP)
*AVG Census per Physician: 18+ patients
*Admissions: 5-6 per day
*Admissions per Physician: 4-5 per day
*Consults: 2-3 per day
*Consults per Physician: 1-2
Minimum Board Certification: BC
EMR System:Paragon-McKesson
