Rural Physicians Group (RPG) is looking for a Hospitalist to provide excellent care who is passionate about medicine, cares for patients in rural communities, and wants to enjoy a flexible schedule with more autonomy at:

Subject: Hospitalist Opportunity in Standish Michigan
Level 4 Trauma, 25 beds, 5 ICU bed hospital

  • Avg. Daily Census of 8

  • EMR: Allscripts, Dictation System: Dragon
  • Required Procedures: Central Lines, Critical Care Management, Emergent Intubation, Vent Management
  • Transfer Center through St. Mary's Network
    • Physician will only have to do doc-to-doc
  • MRI- Two days/week Tuesday and Wednesday

OUTPATIENT CLINICS ONLY
General surgery: One day/week- Wednesday
Orthopedics: every Monday
GI: 4 days/week Mon-Thurs.
Cardiology: Tuesdays

SCHEDULE & ACCOMMODATIONS

  • Permanent monthly schedule:

    • In an effort to provide continuity of care and consistency with our small rural communities and hospitals, we provide a Core Hospitalist Team to the Hospitals we serve a minimum 7-day commitment per month is required. 24/7 shifts.

    • 24/7 shift blocks include: 7 day, 7 on/7 off, 10 day or more.

  • Dedicated and convenient private and comfortable quarters/call-room.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Board certified

  • Active license or ability to obtain

  • Ability to perform full scope of practice

  • Clean malpractice and disciplinary history

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Proficient with intubations, central lines, and vent management
