Seeking BE/BC Family Medicine Provider to join Medical Center in southeast North Dakota. The hospital has been in the community for nearly 100 years, but was built new in 2011 in its current location. Despite being smaller than other cities, the hospital has done many things first in ND - a testament to our nimble decision-making ability and desire to truly achieve our mission of being the best place for patients to receive care, employees to work and providers to practice. We have on-staff surgical specialties that drive our relevance as a destination hospital.

  • Averages 10, 12-hour shifts per month
  • 12-hour days, 12-hour night, 24-hour weekend shifts; Anticipating 1 in 8 weekends, less to start while staffing model being assessed.
  • 3 - 4 admissions per day, average daily census 10 - 12
  • Currently 12 FM providers in hospitalist rotation
  • Hospital has negative pressure rooms, direct access to leadership, 24/7 physician-staffed ED, respiratory therapists, CRNAs, 24/7 general surgery, clinical pharmacist located on IP unit
  • Equipment available: telestroke, portable ultrasound, glidescope
  • Epic EMR
  • 120 hospitalist shifts, average 1 day per week of administration/leadership responsibility
  • Medical Center has a variety of students on rotation for careers in nursing or providers interested in rural medicine (Rural Opportunities in Medical Education (ROME) with the UND School of Medicine)


Director Opportunity also possible that includes 8 hours of leadership work.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Very strong base salary with productivity bonuses
  • 30 days of Allowed Time Off (ATO)
    • ATO use excludes the minimum hospitalist shifts
  • CME Allowance: 10 paid days and $7,500 in related expenses
