NES Health is looking to add Full-Time Hospitalist Physicians to their team at St. Joseph's Hospital in Bangor, Maine.

St Joseph’s Hospital located in Bangor ME is part of the Covenant Health System. St Joseph’s was founded in 1947 by the Felician Sisters. It is a modern, accredited facility with medical, surgical, orthopedic and cardiopulmonary care, laboratory services, physical and occupational therapy and an 18 bed Emergency Department. Serving the Penobscot County population and beyond

Hospital details:

• 75-80 hospital beds
• 15-17 daily encounters
• Physician Coverage: 3 Physicians daily from 7am-7pm, 1 Physician from 7pm-7am
• APP Coverage: 1 APP's daily from 7am-7pm – will increase to 2 APP’s based on volume
• Open ICU – no procedures required
• Hospitalist see all patients admitted
• EMR: EPIC

Backup specialties:

• Intensivist available 24/7
• Anesthesiology there during day on call at night
• Imaging: x-ray, US, CT, MRI, SPECT, Nuclear Med
• no Pediatrics, no OB, no dialysis, no cardiac intervention
• Cardiologist in-house
• GI in house- some with ERCP not all
• Surgery in house
• Tele medicine for ID, Cardiology for off hours, psych for off hours, neurology
• Podiatry can come for consult
• ortho
• nephrology - phone consult sometimes will come here
• endocrine- phone with occasional on site
• urology- phone consult with onsite Thursday/Friday
• IR can be ordered
• pulmonary is on site

Physician Requirements:

• IM or FM trained
• 1+ years experience as Hospitalist
• BLS, ACLS
• ME License
