Hospitalist Needed Immediately.

Rotating schedule available for travelers.

Required capabilities and performance characteristics:

1. Residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
2. Contractor’s experience of twenty-four (24) months. Hospitalist experience (upper and lower).
3. Complete candidate profile: Curriculum Vitae (CV), current certification by the Basic Life Support (BLS), ATLS and ACLS mandatory for all specialties for each proposed candidate, 2 references (supervisor and Peer).
4. The Contractor shall:
5. a) Perform diagnosis, care, treatment of medical inpatients on the general ward and ICU (including patients on ventilators and pressors), as well as perform medical consultation for other services including, but not limited to: OB/GYN, surgery, orthopedics, the emergency department and the walk-in primary care clinic (WIPCC).
6. b) Interview and examine medical patients, review past medical history, and request and/or perform diagnosis tests and examinations deemed necessary to obtain all possible information related to each case.
7. c) Successful application for credentialing by the medical staff of GIMC
8. d) Make preliminary diagnoses and provide treatment, or arrange for specialized care or patient referral as required.
