Cross Country Locums is seeking, Board Certified Hospitalist to assist with coverage starting in July and ongoing through end of 2022, in West Burlington, IA. Please review the details below.

Desired Shift: 12 Hour shifts both days and nights available. Typically, 8a-8p and 8p-8a coverage

• Aug 3 - 9 days
• Sept 4 - 7 days
• Sept 27 - Oct 4 days
• Oct 2 - 8 days
• Oct 2 - 8 nights
• Oct 27 - 29 days
• Dec 9 - 11 nights
• Dec 21-27 days
• Dec 21-27 days (second line)
• Dec 28-Jan 3 days

• Internal Medicine Board Certified
• Active Iowa license
• ACLS
• COVID vaccine

Scope of Service:

• ICU patients per day: 6-8
• Open ICU
• Inpatient patients per day: 12-15
• Hospitalist responds to in-house codes
• Rounding in ICU, CCU, Telemetry, Med/Surg, Inpatient Rehab, Swing
• 10 ICU bed
• EMR is Cerner
• Level 3 Trauma

Core Privileges:

• Evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation via telemedicine to patients above the age of 18 with both common and complex illnesses of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system, skeletal system, cardiovascular system, Collagen Diseases, Gastrointestinal, Metabolic and Endocrine System, liver, neurological, pulmonary, renal, psychiatric and reproductive organs. May admit to an active member of the medical staff.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support-must have current ACLS Certification
• EKG perform and interpretation
• Restraint Management
• Ventilator Management (required and ACLS is required)
