2 Days Clinic + Inpatient Mix | Palliative Care Role

  • 281 licensed bed hospital
  • Adding another provider because due to growth
  • Would be joining a practice with one palliative care physician
  • Over 350 consults per month
  • Freestanding clinic with APRN consulting with physician

Provide Palliative Care Clinic at Cancer Center 2 days per week – MD and APP, virtual and in person

  • Activities that Palliative Care Physicians participate in: Collaborating physician with 5 APRNs
  • Review inpatient docs by APRNs
  • Perform consults on inpatients
  • Present educational in-services
  • Lead weekly IDT for Pall. Care Team/Round on units with hospitalists
  • No formal call schedule – rare weekend calls from attendings
  • Committee participation
  • Participant on Palliative Care Steering Committee

Part of private, not for profit Health System including outpatient clinics:

  • Cardiology
  • Pulmonology
  • Orthopedics
  • Surgical
  • Primary Care (6)/Pediatrics
  • OBGYN
  • Breast Disease and High Risk
  • Hospice and Palliative Care
  • Close to 100 primary care physicians are referral sources

Compensation/Benefits

  • Compensation $ $260,000 – depending on experience
  • 3-year Employment Agreements
  • Student Loan Reimbursement is up to $60,000 over 3 years ($20,000 per year)
  • CME – 5 days and $3,500 per year
  • Relocation - up to $10,000 with receipts
