Job description
A northern Michigan hospital system is seeking a Board-Certified, MI licensed Hospice/Palliative Care Physician available to provide locum tenens coverage.
Shifts needed are 24hr call, for 7 day blocks, Tuesday-Tuesday. Some flexibility will be offered depending on provider availability.
Call coverage consists of covering an home hospice service, inpatient palliative consults, and outpatient palliative care clinic. Additional Information:

Located in the Northern lower peninsula in a resort community home to year-round recreational opportunities, fine dining, excellent shopping, numerous wineries, breweries, and cultural attractions. Bring the family or come alone and enjoy one of Michigan's most popular destinations. Spring weather brings the option to ski or golf, and explore all that this beautiful lakeside city has to offer. Regional airport conveniently located in town.

- Intermittent dates starting March 2026-June 2026
- Specific needs include March 3 - 9th, March 17th-23rd, March 31st-April 6th, April 14-20th, April 28th-May 4th, with more TBD
- 442-Bed Teaching Hosptial, Level II Trauma Center
- Avg number of calls per 12 hr day is 10. Avg number of calls per 12hr night is 1.
- Average inpatient consult service census is 12-18 patients. Patients are split between physician and an advance practice provider on the inpatient service.
