Medical Director – Geriatric Medicine/Palliative Care opening in Rotterdam, NY (Permanent) This is a permanent position. Opportunity Details: Serve as Medical Director for a Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) Full-time primary care with focus on geriatric patients Schedule: Monday–Friday, no call, no weekends, no holidays Low patient volume: 3–5 patients per day Extended visits: 1 hour or more per patient Extensive in-house resources including psychiatry, rehab, home health services, and transportation Direct authority to approve patient services without insurance company restrictions Established program serving Schenectady, Albany, and Rensselaer Counties Requirements: Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Minimum 1 year experience caring for elderly populations required Fellowship training in Geriatrics or Hospice & Palliative Care preferred but not required Active New York State medical license and DEA registration J-1 visa candidates not accepted Compensation/Benefits: Competitive salary range: $270,000–$280,000 annually (base; excludes incentives and bonuses) Quality incentive program Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage CME allowance and paid CME time Generous paid time off Two-part retirement savings program with employer match Relocation assistance available Starting bonus may be offered Location: Rotterdam, NY is part of the Capital Region near Albany Offers suburban living with easy access to cultural, educational, and recreational opportunities Short drive to the Adirondacks, Hudson Valley, and Berkshires for year-round outdoor activities Within 3 hours of New York City, Boston, and Montreal
