Hospice Physician (Hospice)

Intermountain Health

Remote – Utah

We are seeking a part-time Hospice Physician to join a collaborative and compassionate group of providers to deliver General Inpatient Hospice (GIP) care to our patients admitted to any one of our hospitals in the Salt Lake, Utah, Weber, Davis, Wasatch, or Summit counties. Our Inpatient Hospice Physicians will screen referrals from both hospitalists inside and our referring partners outside of the system to determine if the patient qualifies for GIP services. Splitting hours on a monthly basis with 3 other providers, this position requires 32 hours per 1:4 weeks working remotely at home or in office.

Practice Information

  • Opportunity to join a team of 3 other providers
  • Access to interdisciplinary teams of Hospice nurses, chaplains, managers, and aids
  • Primarily daytime work; specific schedule to be determined by incoming physician and arranged with colleagues in the group
  • Weeknight, Weekend, Holiday call required with additional compensation call component

Requirements/Preferred Qualifications

  • Board Certified/ Board Eligible Physician
  • Hospice and Palliative Care Fellowship w/ board certification preferred
  • Preference given to physicians with HMD Certification
  • Experience as hospice physician preferred
  • Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • U.S. ACGME Residency/Fellowship
  • Current DEA
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Employment position with the Intermountain Medical Group
