Hematology/Oncology Physician Locums Job in Red Bluff, California | December Start and Ongoing for a Year | Assignment #102226

Schedule needed:
--Start Date: December 21, 2024 FT through 2025 for at least 6 months up to 1 year.
--Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:00AM-5:30PM with night call then 24 hour remote call coverage Friday-Sunday

Job Requirements:
--Board Certification – Oncology AND Hematology preferred. Will consider Board Eligible.
--California state license – required.
--Residency Requirements/Fellowship – Medical Oncology Fellowship - required
--Other Certifications – California DEA, BLS, ACLS - required during credentialing
--Malpractice – clean file preferred
--Availability at time of name clear – required

Job Details:
--Setting: Outpatient clinic
--Duties: All aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/ Oncology Patients. MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services. Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments. Infusion Center provides Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies.
--EMR: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
--Support Staff: 1- clinic RN, 2-MAs, 2-front office clerks, 1-quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusions RNs.
--Average daily census: 15-21 patients Monday-Thursday with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule.
--10 patients per day, 1-2 being new
--Current call coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day
--7 infusion chairs
--Average callback hours: none - provider is not called back in. Remotely called.
