We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Hematologist/Oncologist to join our multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in diagnosing, treating, and managing patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to patients while contributing to innovative research initiatives and medical education programs.

Job Responsibilities

Provide expert medical care to patients with hematologic and oncologic disorders, including but not limited to leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, solid tumors, and benign hematologic conditions.
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including medical history review, physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and interpretation of laboratory results.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on the latest evidence-based guidelines, patient preferences, and disease characteristics.
Coordinate and collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, radiologists, and nurses, to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, adjusting management strategies as necessary to optimize outcomes and minimize side effects.
Participate in clinical research activities, including enrollment of patients in clinical trials, data collection, analysis, and dissemination of research findings.
Contribute to medical education and training programs by mentoring residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as participating in multidisciplinary case conferences and educational seminars.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, institutional policies, and professional ethics, ensuring patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
Stay abreast of advancements in the field of hematology and oncology through ongoing professional development, continuing medical education, and participation in relevant conferences and seminars.
Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in patient care, clinical outcomes, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Board certification or eligibility in Hematology and Medical Oncology.
Current license to practice medicine in the state of West Virginia.
Completion of residency training in Internal Medicine, followed by fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology from an accredited program.
Proven clinical expertise in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of hematologic and oncologic disorders across the spectrum of disease stages.
Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, families, colleagues, and interdisciplinary team members.
Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based medicine, clinical research, and academic scholarship.
Dedication to professional growth, lifelong learning, and continuous quality improvement in patient care delivery.
