A well-established cancer center in Greenville, South Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology physician for locum tenens coverage from November 2 through January 29. This opportunity offers competitive $450/hour compensation, travel reimbursement, and strong physician and APP support.

Providers must be willing to participate in both outpatient and inpatient coverage.

Practice Highlights

• Specialty: Hematology/Oncology
• Setting: Free-Standing Cancer Center
• Patient Population: Adult & Geriatric
• Practice Mix: 65% Benign Hematology / 35% Malignant Oncology
• Physicians: 7
• APP Support: 6 APPs
• EMR: Epic
• Outpatient Volume: Approximately 25 patients/day
• Inpatient Volume: Approximately 20 patients/day
• Inpatient coverage is required
• Participate in Tumor Board
• Management of Bone Marrow Transplants
• Blood Bank responsibilities
• Order diagnostic tests and imaging
• Prescribe medications and treatment
• Chemotherapy administration handled by oncology nursing staff

Schedule & Call

• Coverage Dates: November 2 – January 29
• Clinic Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Weekend Call: Friday 4:30 PM – Monday 8:00 AM
• Call Frequency: Approximately every 5th or 6th weekend
• Candidates must disclose availability to provide 2–4 weeks per month
• Outpatient and inpatient services are separate; providers will not cover both services on the same day

Compensation & Benefits

• $450/hour

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology – Required
• Active South Carolina License – Required
• BLS & DEA – Required
• Must be willing to provide inpatient coverage
• Must be comfortable treating more than 12 patients per day
• Clean background required for emergency temporary privileges
