Inpatient Oncology Hospitalist Locum Opportunity – Massachusetts

We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a long-term Inpatient Oncology Hospitalist locum assignment in Worcester, Massachusetts. This is a four-day workweek with no call and coverage expected through the end of 2027.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: December 14, 2026
• End Date: December 31, 2027
• Approximately 1-year assignment
• Potential to extend
• Inpatient Oncology Hospitalist coverage
• Local candidates preferred
• Travel candidates considered with consistent availability

Schedule

• 40 hours per week
• Four 10-hour shifts
• Preferred schedule: Tuesday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
• No call

Practice Setting

• 100% inpatient Oncology
• Collaborative hospital-based environment
• Mix of independent patient management and team-based care
• Epic EMR

Patient Volume

• Approximately 12–15 patient encounters per day

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage hospitalized Oncology patients
• Provide daily inpatient management and follow-up
• Collaborate with the established clinical team
• Independently manage assigned patients as appropriate
• Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Hematology/Oncology fellowship required
• Active Massachusetts medical license required
• DEA required
• Massachusetts CSR required
• Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred

Ideal Candidate

A fellowship-trained Hematology/Oncology Physician with an active Massachusetts license who is comfortable managing 12–15 inpatient Oncology encounters per day. This is a strong fit for a physician seeking a consistent four-day workweek with no call and a long-term assignment through 2027.
