Locums – Big Stone Gap, Virginia Hematology/Oncology

• Full-time coverage

Schedule

• 24-hour call shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:00 AM
• No hourly call shifts
• Provider works regular clinic hours while on call
• Onsite Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• Cover one week of 24-hour call per month
• Primarily a float position between multiple locations
• Approximately 2 weeks/month at the primary location
• Remaining 2 weeks split between two sister locations, approximately 2 days/week
• During call week, provider maintains clinic responsibilities, including Friday clinic coverage at the primary location

Coverage

• Float between multiple facilities
• Both locations treat Hematology and Oncology patients
• Inpatient consultations at the primary location as needed
• Telehealth consultations acceptable for other locations unless onsite coverage is required
• One additional location is tele-consult only and covered exclusively during the assigned call week
• Telehealth consults provided for the additional facility during call shifts at other locations

Patient Population

• Adults, 18+
• Approximately 15 patients/day
• Primary location: 50% Oncology / 50% Hematology
• Sister location: 30% Oncology / 70% Hematology

Infusion / Facility Details

• Primary location:
  • 21-chair infusion center
  • Provider clinic
  • Onsite Radiation Oncology
• Sister location:
  • 6-chair infusion satellite site
  • Provider clinic

Support:

• Dedicated nursing staff

EMR

• Epic

Requirements

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Virginia license
• BLS certification
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience
