Opportunity Highlights
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Weekend 24-hour call; Weekday night call to be shared with other providers. Available weeks in 2026: Sept 21, Sept 28, Oct 5, Oct 26, Nov 2, Nov 23 (closed Nov 24-25), Nov 30, Dec 21 (closed Dec 25), Dec 28 (closed Jan 1). Many dates available each month in 2027; seeking full coverage 5 days/week with potential weekend call.
- Job Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient; COC Accredited Cancer Center; 18-bed chemo suite; housed under the same roof as Radiation Oncology
- Types of Cases: 17 patients per shift (1 hour for new patients, 20-minute follow-ups); assigned and unassigned rounding patients; call consists of RN questions regarding patients calling in, patients receiving chemotherapy, and minimal ED consults; clinical trials available (Phase 2 and 3); weekly tumor boards
- Credentialing: Estimated credentialing timeframe: 60 days; temporary privileges not available; hospital/surgery center privileges required; fellowship required (2 years)
- EMR System: Mosiaq
- Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours + Call
- Call Details: Beeper call; call ratio 1:2; call response time: 20 minutes; approximately 2 phone consults and 1 patient seen per call shift
Minimum Requirements
- Board Certified/Board Eligible: Board Certified or Board Eligible required
- Certifications: BLS required
- Licensure: New Mexico state license required; IMLC not accepted
