Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Plus Call

Practice Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient
Is Both Inpatient and Outpatient Required: Yes
Admissions Required: No
Is Hospital Stroke Certified: Yes
Patients Per Shift: 17
Rounding: Both
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Patient Volume: Approximately 17 patients/day
- New patients: 1 hour
- Follow-ups: 20 minutes
- Call: Shared weekday night call with other providers
- Weekend Call: 24-hour call coverage may be required
- Call Coverage: Primarily RN questions, chemotherapy-related questions, and minimal ED consults
- Supervision: May supervise 1 PA/NP

- 18-bed dedicated chemotherapy suite
- Several RNs and dedicated Medical Assistant support
- Dedicated pharmacists providing chemotherapy education
- Cancer Center is under the same roof as Radiation Oncology
- Commission on Cancer (COC)-accredited Cancer Center
- Weekly tumor boards
- Clinical trials available, including Phase II and Phase III trials

- September 21
- September 28
- October 5
- October 26
- November 2
- November 23 (closed November 24–25)
- November 30
- December 21 (closed December 25)
- December 28 (closed January 1)
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Fellowship preferred
- BLS required
- Active state license required prior to start/Willing to obtain NM license accepted
