Position: Locum Tenens Hematologist / Oncologist

- Dec 21, 2026 – Jan 1, 2027
- Jan 18 – Jan 29, 2027
- Feb 8 – Feb 26, 2027
- Mar 15 – Apr 16, 2027
- May 3 – May 7, 2027
- May 24 – Jun 4, 2027
- Outpatient Clinic: Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- 9-hour shifts (Overtime applies after 9 hours)
- Includes 36 hours of direct ambulatory patient care per week
- Includes 30 minutes of admin time & 1-hour lunch daily
- Inpatient Call Coverage: 1 week on / 3-4 weeks off (7-day block rotation)
- Weekdays (M–F): Hospital visits for new consults only
- Weekends (Sat/Sun): Rounding and emergent consults only
HOSPITAL CALL COVERAGE SCHEULE:
Call rotation every 4th or 5th week
• One full week at a time
Expected hospital visits:
• Weekdays (M–F) for new consults
• Saturday and/or Sunday for rounding and emergent consults
PATIENT MIX:
70% Oncology / 30% Hematology (primarily benign cases)
PRACTICE MODEL:
• Primary focus on outpatient care
• On-call Provider handles new consults at the hospital
• Nurse Practitioners round on existing patients
- • New consults are assigned to the on-call provider once evaluated
Qualifications & Onboarding Requirements
- Board Status: Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC)
- Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Licensing & Credentials (Preferred for Priority Onboarding):
- Active Indiana State License & Active DEA
- Clean malpractice history (no paid or pending claims)
- Clear NPDB record (no actions reported)
- Minimal work gaps (less than 6 months)
- Must provide 3–4 professional references
