Locums Hematology Oncology Physician in Iowa - Four-Day Week, Outpatient Focus
Spend most of your clinical time in outpatient hematology and oncology while working four days per week across two Iowa locations.
Highlights
- 95 percent outpatient coverage
- Four clinical days per week
- Additional coverage blocks available into 2027
- Limited inpatient responsibilities
Practice & Cases
- Adult hematology and oncology care
- Approximately 10 to 30 clinic patients per day
- Patient assessments, treatment planning, chemotherapy management, pain management, and end-of-life care
- RN or CMA support with onsite imaging, laboratory, and pharmacy services
Schedule
- Four days of coverage per week
- Daytime clinic coverage
- Weeknight call required during scheduled workweeks
- 24 hour weekend call may fall before or after a scheduled week
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology preferred
- Active Iowa license or active IMLC LOQ required
- ACLS and DEA required
