It is accredited as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers by the American College of Surgeons, offering cutting-edge treatments, the latest technology, and a robust oncology clinical trials program through its NCI Community Oncology Research Program grant.Opportunity:
Physician - Hematology/Oncology or Medical OncologyJob Details:
- Join a Hematology/Oncology team of 10 providers (8 MDs and 2 APCs) using an interdisciplinary approach to develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- See patients at the main campus clinic overlooking Lake Superior, at an outreach cancer center, and provide consultative services in the hospital
- Average of 12-14 follow-up visits and 1-2 new patients per day
- Includes regional outreach responsibilities
- Access to cutting-edge treatments, the latest technology, and current oncology clinical trials including industry-sponsored trials and investigator-initiated trials
- Outstanding multi-disciplinary cancer care in coordination with cardiothoracic, gynecologic oncology, urologic and ENT surgeons, palliative care and hospice physicians, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and interventional radiologists
- Specialty and subspecialty services include Medical Hematology/Oncology, Pediatric Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Oncologic Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Palliative Care, and Hospice
- Thriving intellectual environment with multiple tumor board and multidisciplinary conferences
- Hospitalists routinely admit and cover patients at night
- EPIC electronic medical record system
- BC/BE in Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology required
