Locum - Physician - Hematology/Oncology - Marquette MI

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday
  
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  
• Occasional night and weekend call
  
• Call is primarily phone-only with very low call volume

• September 21 (8:00 AM) – October 5 (8:00 AM)
  
• October 19 (8:00 AM) – November 2 (8:00 AM)
  
• November 16 (8:00 AM) – November 30 (8:00 AM)
  
• December 14 (8:00 AM) – December 28 (8:00 AM)
  

Practice Highlights:

• Established 4-provider oncology group
  
  • 1 Physician
  • 3 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs)
• Employed, collaborative, and supportive practice
  
• 95–99% outpatient with minimal inpatient responsibilities
  
• Average 10–15 patients per day
  
• New patient consults: 60 minutes
  
• Follow-up visits: 30 minutes
  

Clinical Support:

• Weekly multidisciplinary tumor board
  
• On-site genetic counselor
  
• Dedicated research department with oncology research associate
  
• Strong primary care referral network
  
• Tumor registry with certified tumor registrars (CTRs)
  
• Shared location with Radiation Oncology

• 13 Registered Nurses
  
• 2 Nurse Navigators

• 1 Laboratory Technician (lab draws performed in office)

Facility & EMR:

• EMR: ONCO EMR
  
• Each provider is assigned three exam rooms
  
• Patients are roomed and assessed by RNs
  
• Dedicated triage nurse manages incoming clinical calls
  

Inpatient Responsibilities:

• APPs perform most inpatient rounding
  
• Hospitalists admit patients
  
• Oncology consulted as needed
  
• No inpatient chemotherapy inductions performed
  

Requirements:

• Board certification must be for Hematology and Oncology
  
• What is the license requirement to bid Licensed in MI only
  
• ACLS/BLS certifications: Required
