Position Overview:
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in an outpatient clinic setting. The physician will provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care while working alongside a multidisciplinary team to support patients throughout their treatment journey.
Responsibilities:
- Provide expert hematology and oncology care in an outpatient clinical setting.
- Evaluate and manage patients with a variety of hematologic and oncologic conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Work closely with nurse navigators, social workers, pharmacy support, research coordinators, genetic counselors, and dedicated RN staff.
- Participate in coordinated care planning and patient support services.
- Utilize infusion services and other clinical resources as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Board Certified in Medical Oncology highly preferred.
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology will also be considered.
- Board Eligible candidates in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology may be considered.
- Completion of an accredited postgraduate training program required.
- Active California medical license required.
- Active DEA required.
- Active BLS is highly preferred; BLS may be processed during credentialing.
