Locum Tenens Hematology/Oncologist in Ephrata, PA.
Shift: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (8-hour clinic shifts)
Start Date: 11/09/2026
End Date: Ongoing (Minimum 6-month commitment)
Position Highlights:
- Practice in a rural acute care hospital with an established patient panel and comprehensive cancer services.
- Collaborative multidisciplinary team with 3 APPs, onsite pharmacist, infusion center, and radiation oncology.
- Flexible ongoing assignment with temporary privileges available for qualified candidates.
Position Details:
Patient Population:
Adult Hematology and Oncology patients.
Setting:
Rural hospital and outpatient clinic.
Responsibilities:
- Provide outpatient Hematology and Oncology care with inpatient consult coverage.
- Manage solid tumor oncology, benign hematology, and malignant hematology patients.
- Participate in inpatient and phone call coverage.
- Collaborate with APPs, pharmacists, oncology-certified nurses, and multidisciplinary tumor boards.
Required Procedures:
- General Hematology and Medical Oncology care.
- Bone marrow biopsies: Not required.
- Lumbar punctures: Not required.
- Port access: Not required.
- Bone marrow transplant consultations: Not required.
EMR System: Epic.
Support Staff: 1.3 Hematology/Oncology physicians, 3 APPs, onsite pharmacist, oncology-certified nursing staff, infusion center staff, and multidisciplinary tumor boards.
Days Per Month:
Full-time coverage, 4–5 clinic days per week.
On-Call/Weekends: Weekend call: 2 weekends per month (24-hour call).
Night call: Approximately 10 nights per month (4:15 PM – 8:00 AM).
Call rotation: 1:2 with inpatient and phone coverage.
Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology.
- Active Pennsylvania medical license or IMLC.
- DEA certification required.
- Minimum 1 year of Hematology/Oncology experience
- NPDB Self-Query (within 6 months)
