Locum Tenens Hematology Oncology Physician
Position Type: Locum Tenens
Specialty: Physician - Hematology Oncology
Location: Waterloo, IA
Shift: Varied; Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (16 shifts per month)
Position Details:
Patient Population: Adults (18 years and older)
Setting: Outpatient with infrequent inpatient consults
Responsibilities: Consults, follow-up care, oversee administration of antineoplastics in the clinic
Required Procedures: Antineoplastics, phlebotomies, IV IgG, iron therapy, bone marrow biopsies
EMR System: EPIC
Support Staff: 2 APPs, 2 nurses per provider, referral and triage nurses, reception, lab, social worker, referrals, dietician
Days Per Month: 16 shifts per month (Candidates must be available at least 2 weeks per month)
On-Call/Weekends: Yes; One week and one weekend per month (phone calls only)
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology (or Board Certified in Oncology with strong Hem/Onc experience)
- Active IA License or Active IMLC
- Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology
- Clean Malpractice/Background with NPDB Self-Query Report (within the last 30 days)
