Job description
We are seeking a Hematology and Oncology physician for a locum tenens position in Saint Louis, MO. This is an inpatient and outpatient assignment covering clinic and rounding. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
Perform bone marrow biopsies and aspirations
Manage oncologic emergencies, including tumor lysis syndrome, spinal cord compression, and neutropenic fever
Coordinate genetic testing and counseling
Treat a range of malignancies, including breast, lung, colorectal, prostate, pancreatic, head and neck, and melanoma/skin cancers
Manage hematologic conditions, including sickle cell anemia, coagulopathies, and benign hematology
Supervise advanced practice providers
Qualifications
Active Missouri medical license (IMLC accepted)
DEA
Missouri BNDD
BLS
ACLS
Epic (required for charting)
Working Hours
Tuesday: rounding in AM only
Wednesday: rounding in AM; 12:00p–6:00p clinic
Thursday: 8:00a–12:00p, rounding afterward
Friday: 8:00a–4:00p clinic
No call
