Locums – Towson, Maryland – Hematology/Oncology Job

• Seeking a board certified Hematologist/Oncologist

• Active IMLC required

• Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology required

• Urgent need for an additional physician to provide consistent weekly clinic coverage November 2026–March 2027

• Candidates must be able to complete credentialing promptly, with no significant background, licensing, or other issues that could delay approval or onboarding

• Please include EPIC experience when presenting candidates

• Full and temporary privileges available

• Physician should be comfortable working independently

Schedule & Coverage:

• Clinic: Monday–Thursday, 8:30 AM–4:00 PM

• Preference for one full-time provider working four clinic days per week

• Facility requests 1–4 weekends of call coverage per month, with the specific commitment to be confirmed

• Will also consider providers who can commit to 1–2 clinic days per week plus one weekend of call per month

• One designated weekday per week includes:

  • Scheduled clinic

  • Coverage of all new inpatient oncology consults

  • Overnight call, as part of a 24-hour weekday call assignment

• Weekend call: Friday at 8:00 AM through Monday at 8:00 AM

• Previously outlined call rotation was every fourth weekend; final rotation will depend on the agreed coverage schedule

Practice Details:

• Approximately 12–15 patients per day

• New patient consultations and follow-up appointments

• Responsible for managing oncology inpatients admitted under your service during clinic hours, Monday–Friday

• Inpatient APP support during standard daytime hours for inpatient and consultative services

• Call includes in-house and telephone coverage

• Average admissions while on call: 5

• EMR: EPIC Beacon
