Job description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology physician for a full-time locum tenens position in Potsdam, NY. This is an excellent opportunity to provide primarily outpatient hematology/oncology care at a Level III trauma center, with an emphasis on infusion and treatment management. The physician will manage diverse treatment modalities including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy, with occasional inpatient consultations as needed. The facility utilizes Epic EMR. Please see below for more information.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and hormonal therapy
• Oversee infusion center care and treatment planning
• Provide inpatient hematology/oncology consultations as needed
Qualifications
• State Medical License: New York (in hand required)
• DEA Registration
• Epic EMR proficiency (required)
Working Hours
• Outpatient clinic-based (primarily)
• Patient load: 18–20 patients per day
• Occasional inpatient consultations as needed
• Onsite infusion center
