Description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a 6–9 month locum tenens assignment in New York. This is a primarily outpatient role with a consistent weekday schedule and no call requirements. The position offers a manageable patient volume and the opportunity to work in a growing oncology program supported by a collaborative care team.
About the facility
This is an acute care hospital with an outpatient oncology clinic and infusion center. The program is currently expanding and provides a supportive environment with a small, dedicated team. The clinic includes multiple infusion chairs and utilizes EPIC EMR with AI-assisted charting capabilities.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient hematology and oncology care
- Manage 18–20 patients per day
- Administer and oversee treatments including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies
- Perform occasional inpatient consults as needed
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team including NP and clinical support staff
- Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
- Active New York medical license required (no licensing available)
- Minimum 5 years of experience preferred
- EPIC experience required
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Clean and consistent work history (no unexplained gaps over 30 days)
Working Hours
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 1-hour lunch break daily
- No call required
- Assignment length: 6–9 months
