Job Description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in Chambersburg, PA. This role includes a balanced mix of outpatient clinic care, inpatient consults, and call coverage, working within a collaborative oncology care team.
Job Responsibilities
Manage adult patients with a variety of cancer and blood disorders
Conduct inpatient consults and ER consults as needed
Participate in call coverage (nights & weekends)
Supervise urgent patient needs and support care coordination
Collaborate with NPs, virtual specialists, and multidisciplinary teams
Document patient care using EPIC EMR
Qualifications
Fellowship trained (required)
Active Pennsylvania license (or willing to obtain)
DEA required
Double board certification preferred
Open to both experienced and newer physicians
Working Hours
Flexible scheduling: Full-time preferred (minimum 3 days/week)
Call rotation: ~1 week/month (includes nights & weekends)
Occasional inpatient consults before/after clinic
Skills
Case mix includes lung, breast, prostate, colorectal cancers, and hematologic conditions
No inpatient chemotherapy required
Support includes NP and virtual hematologist
Participation in tumor boards
Infusion services available onsite
Credentialing timeframe: ~90–120 days
