Take your hematology/oncology expertise to a welcoming community in Ephrata, Pennsylvania, where you’ll step into a fully established patient panel and a collaborative, well-supported care environment. This ongoing opportunity blends outpatient clinic care with manageable call responsibilities, giving you both clinical variety and continuity of care.
Work alongside experienced APPs, oncology-certified nurses, and on-site pharmacy support in a setting designed for high-quality, patient-centered cancer care. With a built-in patient base and strong infrastructure—including an on-site infusion center—you’ll be positioned to make an immediate impact.
🔍 Position Highlights:
- Schedule: 5 days/week, 8-hour day shifts (clinic-based)
- Ongoing assignment (minimum 6-month commitment)
- Patient Volume: ~15 patients per day
- Mix: ~60% hematology / 40% oncology
- Established, full patient panel from day one
- Practice Setting: Clinic + hospital consults
- EMR: Epic
- On-site infusion center with 14 chairs + private rooms
📞 Call & Coverage Details:
- Call Rotation: 1:2
- Night Call: ~10 days/month (light volume)
- Weekend Call: 2 weekends/month (24-hour coverage)
- Typical Call Volume: 2–3 calls early evening, minimal overnight
- Hospitalists manage admissions; consultative role only
- APPs provide strong rounding support
🧩 Clinical Scope:
- Adult hematology and oncology care (benign & malignant)
- Solid tumors and general hematologic conditions
- Outpatient clinic visits + inpatient consults
- Collaboration with radiation oncology (on-site)
- Participation in tumor boards (disease-specific & general)
- No required procedures (no bone marrow biopsies, LPs, or port access)
👥 Team & Support:
- 3 APPs providing clinical and rounding support
- On-site pharmacist
- Oncology-certified infusion nursing staff
- Collaborative, multidisciplinary care model
✅ Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Pennsylvania license OR IMLC
- DEA
- Minimum 1 year of experience
