🎗️ Hematology / Oncology Physician Opportunity – Pennsylvania 🏥

Join a well-established Cancer Program offering a balanced mix of clinic, consults, and call coverage. This is a great opportunity for Hem/Onc physicians seeking long-term stability, strong support, and meaningful patient care.

✨ Position Highlights

• 📍 Location: Pennsylvania (Chambersburg & Waynesboro)
• 🗓️ Start: As soon as credentialed
• ⏳ Long-Term Assignment (through March 2027)
• 👨‍⚕️ Open Positions: 3–4 providers
• 🏥 Practice Setting: Clinic + Hospital
• 💻 EMR: Epic

⏰ Schedule & Coverage

• 🗓️ Monday – Friday
• 🕗 Clinic Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• 📞 Call Rotation: ~1 week per month
  • Includes night & weekend call
  • 📊 Average 0–2 calls/day
• ⚖️ Minimum 3 days/week, full-time preferred

🩺 Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient Hematology/Oncology care
• Manage inpatient consults & ER support as needed
• Handle secure chats and consults during clinic hours
• Participate in tumor boards & care coordination 🤝

📊 Practice Details

• 👥 Patient Volume: ~15 patients/day
• 🆕 ~2 new consults/day (rest follow-ups & treatments)
• 🧑‍⚕️ Adult patient population only
• ⚖️ Case Mix: ~2/3 Oncology, 1/3 Hematology

🧬 Clinical Scope

• Treat common cancers:
  • Lung, Breast, Prostate, Colorectal
• Manage hematology cases (some complex cases referred out)
• 💉 Infusions include:
  • Chemotherapy
  • Immunotherapy
  • IVIG, IV iron, injections

🚫 No inpatient chemotherapy
🚫 No bone marrow biopsies or lumbar punctures required

🏥 Support & Environment

• 🤝 Strong team support: NP + virtual hematologist
• 🧭 Nurse navigators assist with coordination
• 🏥 Infusion centers on-site
• 🧑‍⚕️ Not a solo provider role

✅ Requirements

• ✔️ Board Certified (or eligible) in Hematology/Oncology
• ✔️ Fellowship Required
• ✔️ PA License (or willingness to obtain)
• ✔️ Experience preferred but newer physicians considered
