Join a well-supported oncology program offering a balanced mix of hematology and oncology care in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking full-time outpatient-focused work with strong clinical infrastructure and minimal procedural requirements.
Start Date: April 6, 2026 Contract Length: 6 months (option to extend)
Position Highlights:

Full-time schedule with consistent weekday hours

Primarily outpatient-focused with inpatient consults
-
No required procedures (bone marrow biopsies referred to IR)

Strong multidisciplinary oncology support team

IMLC candidates welcome

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

30-minute unpaid lunch
-
5 x 8-hour shifts
-
Full-time coverage required
-
Patient population: Adults (18+)
-
Patient volume: 12–15 patients per day
Responsibilities Include:
-
Evaluating new oncology and hematology referrals
-
Diagnosing and staging cancer
-
Developing and managing treatment plans (including chemotherapy and immunotherapy)
-
Inpatient consults as needed
-
Coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams
Procedures:

No procedures required
-
Bone marrow biopsies referred to Interventional Radiology
-
Setting: Hospital-based oncology program (228 beds)
Robust Support Team Includes:

Oncology leadership and clinical supervisors
-
8 experienced oncology RNs
-
Nurse navigators and medical assistants
-
Financial and authorization support staff
-
Pharmacist and clinical pharmacy team

Billing and administrative support
Technology:
-
Clinic EMR: ONCO
-
Hospital EMR: Cerner
-
Board Certified in Medical Oncology or Hematology/Oncology
-
Active Pennsylvania license preferred (IMLC accepted)
-
DEA and CSR required
-
BLS & ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 1 year of experience required
