Locums - Potsdam, New York, Hematology/Oncology Opening

Join a growing oncology program offering a predominantly outpatient-focused practice with strong support and advanced technology. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking a stable, longer-term assignment in a collaborative and evolving clinical environment.

Start Date: June 1, 2026 Assignment Length: 6–9 months

Position Highlights:

• Outpatient-focused practice with minimal inpatient responsibilities

• Consistent weekday schedule with built-in lunch hour

• Modern clinic utilizing AI-supported charting

• Strong support staff and manageable patient volume

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• 1-hour blocked lunch daily

• Overtime available as needed

• Setting: Outpatient Oncology Clinic

• Patient volume: 18–20 patients per day

• Inpatient consults: Minimal and infrequent

Treatments Include:

• Chemotherapy

• Immunotherapy

• Targeted therapy

• Hormone therapy

Responsibilities Include:

• Evaluating and managing oncology and hematology patients

• Developing and overseeing treatment plans

• Coordinating care with clinical staff and support teams

• Participating in occasional inpatient consults as needed

• 1 Physician and 1 NP on site

• 3 CNA/CMA support staff

• 15 infusion chairs

Technology:

• EMR: Epic (AI-assisted charting available)

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology

• Active New York license required (in hand)

• Minimum 5 years of experience required

• Epic experience required

• Must be adaptable and comfortable working in a growing program
