Coverage Needed
- Start Date: 6/30
- End Date: Ongoing, minimum 6-month commitment
- Schedule: 5 days/week, 8 hours each day
- Weekend Coverage: 2 weekends per month
- Night Call: 10 days per month, M-F starts at 16:15-0800
- Call Rotation Schedule: 1:2
Clinical Details
- Patient Population: Rural community setting, adult oncology and hematology
- Patients per Day: 15
- Oncology vs Hematology Breakdown: 60% hematology / 40% oncology
- Physician to see all solid tumor and benign and malignant heme
- Infusion/Treatment: 14 chair, 2 bedroom infusion room on site
- Procedures: No bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, or port access required
- Radiation Oncology: Coordination required, located at this center
- Practice Setting: Clinic/Hospital
- EMR System: EPIC
- Support Staff: 3 APPs, pharmacist on site, Oncology certified nurses
- Tumor Board Participation: Disease specific and general tumor boards
- Rounding is supported by the APPs but does require physician coverage
- Call: 2-3 patient calls from 17:00-21:00, rarely after 21:00
- on call for ER and hospital team
- Consulting group only, hospitalists handle admissions
Requirements
- Board Certification: BC or BE in Hematology/Oncology
- Licensing: Willing to license or consider IMLC
- DEA: Required
- Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year
