Hematology/Oncology Physician

Join our dedicated team as a Hematology/Oncology Physician and make a meaningful impact on patient care in a vibrant healthcare environment. This full-time role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across hospital and clinic settings, providing specialized oncology and hematology services to a diverse adult patient population. You’ll be an integral part of a supportive team, delivering comprehensive care, participating in tumor board meetings, and contributing to innovative treatment approaches in a facility accredited by the American College of Surgeons.

Required Skills:
  • Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology (Double Boarded preferred)
  • Valid Pennsylvania medical license or willingness to obtain
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in hematology/oncology
  • Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to handle both outpatient and inpatient consultations
  • Proficiency in managing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, IVIG, and IV iron therapies
  • Competence in port access procedures

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with BMT consults
  • Exposure to radiation oncology coordination
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Familiarity with Nuance dictation systems

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Medical degree (MD or DO)
  • Fellowship training in Hematology and Oncology
  • Prior experience in a hospital-based oncology setting
  • Board-certified or eligible for certification

Other Requirements:
  • Willingness to work extended hours during call rotations, including weekends and nights (1 week/month schedule)
  • Ability to see approximately 15 patients per day, including new and follow-up cases
  • Willing to participate in tumor board and multidisciplinary discussions
  • Successful credentialing within 90-120 days
  • Ability to perform port access (trained RNs handle port procedures)
