Description
A healthcare system in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide full-time coverage in a clinic-based setting with inpatient consultation responsibilities.
The provider will manage adult hematology and oncology patients, support infusion services, and participate in shared call coverage. This role offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic care with limited inpatient consults and strong multidisciplinary support including Nurse Practitioner and virtual hematology coverage.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide outpatient hematology and oncology clinic coverage
- Evaluate new oncology and hematology consults
- Manage follow-up and treatment patients
- Provide inpatient consults when required
- Participate in shared call rotation (1 week per month)
- Collaborate with NP, infusion staff, and care teams
- Supervise urgent patient needs during assigned coverage blocks
- Coordinate care with radiation oncology and specialists
- Document patient care and treatment plans
- Manage approximately 15 patients per day
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Fellowship trained in Hematology/Oncology required
- Pennsylvania medical license preferred or willingness to obtain
- Double board certification preferred
- Experience in outpatient oncology setting preferred
- Strong clinical and communication skills
Working Hours
Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call rotation: 1 week per month
Weekend and night call required
Limited inpatient consults before/after clinic.
