Description

A Pennsylvania healthcare system is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for a full-time locum assignment with clinic coverage and call responsibilities. The provider will work in a community oncology setting supported by APPs, infusion services, and multidisciplinary care teams.

This opportunity includes a consistent weekday clinic schedule with shared call rotation, inpatient consult coverage, and a balanced hematology and oncology patient mix.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient hematology/oncology clinic coverage
• Manage solid tumor and benign/malignant hematology cases
• Provide inpatient consult coverage during call rotation
• Collaborate with APPs and oncology care team
• Participate in tumor boards
• Coordinate with radiation oncology services
• Review labs and treatment plans
• Document encounters using Epic EMR

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Pennsylvania license or IMLC accepted
• DEA required
• Minimum 1 year experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Working Hours

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
5 days per week

Call Coverage:

• 2 weekends per month
• Night call: ~10 days per month
• Call rotation: 1:2
• Weekend call: 24 hours
• Weeknight call: 4:15 PM – 8:00 AM
• Average 2–3 calls per evening
