Locum Board-Certified Hematologist-Oncologist Needs in KY!

ATC West Healthcare Services is seeking a board-certified Hematologist-Oncologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment. This role focuses primarily on adult outpatient care, with a strong emphasis on oncology and a smaller portion of hematology cases. The position involves a mix of clinic and limited hospital responsibilities, managing a steady daily patient volume.

Dates / Schedule

• Ongoing locum coverage (specific dates not provided)

• 95% outpatient clinic, 5% hospital-based care

• Average of 22 patients per day

• Typically 2–3 new consults daily

Job Details / Responsibilities

• Provide care to 100% adult patients

• Manage a caseload split of approximately 70% oncology and 30% hematology

• Deliver both outpatient and limited inpatient Hem/Onc services

• Perform specialized treatments including:

  • Intrathecal chemotherapy

  • Intracavitary chemotherapy (preferred)

• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management

• Maintain efficient workflow in a moderate-volume clinical setting

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology (required)

• Completion of Hematology/Oncology fellowship (required)

• Active Kentucky state license (highly preferred)

• COVID-19 vaccination (required)

• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient Hem/Onc (required)

• Proficiency in intrathecal chemotherapy (required)

• Intracavitary chemotherapy experience (highly preferred)

• Current Self-Query NPDB report (dated within 30 days) (required)
