Healthcare United is seeking a Hematology Oncology Physician to join a well supported and growing cancer program in East Central Illinois. This position offers a balanced mix of outpatient and inpatient care within a collaborative environment supported by experienced physicians advanced practice providers and oncology specialists. The cancer center is located on the hospital campus providing efficient workflow and access to comprehensive oncology services. Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with physicians advanced practice providers and radiation oncology
• Manage a wide range of oncology and hematology cases
• Utilize dedicated APP support for inpatient consults and infusion services
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within EMR system
• Participate in shared call rotation with phone call only coverage
Qualifications
• Eligible for Illinois medical licensure
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain
• Strong clinical skills in oncology care
• Ability to work in a team based environment
Working Hours
• Mix of outpatient clinic and inpatient responsibilities
• Call schedule approximately one in three
• Phone call only with minimal burden
