Job Title: Locum Physician - Hematology Oncology
Position Summary:
Join a dynamic healthcare facility in Paducah, Kentucky, where the focus is on providing exceptional patient care in the field of Hematology and Oncology. This locum opportunity offers ongoing coverage, allowing you to engage with a diverse patient population. The practice emphasizes a balanced mix of oncology and hematology, with a significant majority of cases being adult patients. The facility utilizes EPIC EMR for streamlined operations, supporting approximately 22 patients per day with a handful of new consults.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive care to adult patients in a clinical setting.
- Maintain a patient census of an average of 22 patients per day.
- Conduct 2-3 new consults daily.
- Manage both outpatient and inpatient cases within Hematology and Oncology.
- Participate in 2 nights of on-call duties per week from 5 PM to 8 AM.
- Cover every other weekend from Friday at 5 PM to Monday at 8 AM.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology.
- Completion of a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship.
- COVID Vaccination (Mandatory).
- Ability to perform intrathecal and intracavitary chemotherapy.
- Experience with outpatient/inpatient Hematology/Oncology.
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days at the time of presentation.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Kentucky State License (Highly Preferred).
- BLS & ACLS certifications (Required).
