We are seeking a locum Hematologist Oncologist. This role requires coverage for both inpatient and clinic settings across two primary sites, providing a full spectrum of specialized cancer and blood disorder care.
-Schedule: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off; Clinic hours 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
-Location: 1111 6th Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50314 (and West Des Moines campus).
-Team: 1 Physician; 1:1 Nursing support (No APPs).
-Charting: EPIC EMR.
-
Gratis Hours: 2 hours for Night Call; 4 hours for 24-hour Call.
-
Travel: Flights, Lodging. and Rental Car.
Job Responsibilities
-Provide inpatient coverage at both the Des Moines and West Des Moines sites.
-Maintain a clinic volume of 10–30 patients per day and a hospital census of 10–15.
-Perform patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and manage chemotherapy/end-of-life care.
-Potential for telehealth responsibilities in addition to inpatient duties.
Qualifications
-Alternative: Willing to review candidates BC in Oncology with heavy Hematology experience (must note at time of name clear).
-Fellowship: Must be Fellowship Trained in Hematology & Oncology [REQUIRED].
-Licensure: Active Iowa License or Active IMLC (LOQ must be uploaded at name clear) [REQUIRED].
-Experience: Must be an experienced provider; clean malpractice/background.
-Credentialing: NPDB Self-Query must be pulled within the current month [REQUIRED].
